STORY Le Carrousel Rabat Goes Green

STORY Le Carrousel Rabat Goes Green

We are continually looking for ways to preserve and protect natural resources by reducing waste and energy, while providing thoughtful experiences and services to our guests.

We remain in continuous communication with our guests, creating awareness around our initiatives while encouraging simple, conscious practices that contribute to our shared sustainability goals.

Surrounded by the beauty of the luscious gardens, our 25m outdoor swimming pool and it´s decoration it´s definitely one of the pearls of the hotel. Its wooden deck, patterned tiling and contemporary furniture make it the perfect spot to soak up the sun and relax.

Morocco has played a key role in promoting the sustainable development of tourism. In 2014 it was voted co-lead, along with France and Korea, of the Sustainable Tourism Programme, which is part of the UN World Tourism Organization’s 10-Year Framework on Sustainable Consumption and Production (10 YFP).

This program envisions a world where “the tourism sector has globally adopted sustainable consumption and production practices resulting in enhanced environmental and social outcomes and improved economic performance respecting the limits of our planet.”

Our 4 pillars of sustainability

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE INITIATIVES

Encouraging the reuse and recycling of paper for all printing purposes. Printed hotel materials are produced on FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified paper.
Plastic-free approach: STORY Le Carrousel Rabat is progressively reducing the use of plastic across its operations. Water bottles in guest rooms have been replaced with glass bottles, while additional departments continue to implement this initiative throughout the property.
Soap used in guest rooms is collected, cleaned, and processed into a paste used for washing selected internal hotel surfaces.

mplementation of a waste sorting policy throughout the hotel.

Our objective is to reduce consumption wherever possible, encourage reuse through alternative applications, and support recycling practices across operations.

SAVING ENERGY AND WATER

We are continually seeking ways to preserve and protect natural resources by reducing waste and energy consumption while maintaining the level of comfort and service expected by our guests.

Through ongoing communication, guests are encouraged to participate in simple sustainable practices that support our environmental commitments.

The hotel is currently working on the implementation of a recycled water point dedicated to garden irrigation. This non-potable water source will significantly reduce water costs while supporting responsible resource management.

Water flow reducers are installed in shower heads, faucets, and flushing systems through dual-flush toilet installations.

An active monitoring system is in place to detect and repair leaking toilets, faucets, and showerheads in coordination with the housekeeping and maintenance departments.

Regular inspection and maintenance of machinery and technical equipment are carried out through a continuous monitoring process managed by the maintenance department.

Surrounded by the beauty of the luscious gardens, our 25m outdoor swimming pool and it´s decoration it´s definitely one of the pearls of the hotel. Its wooden deck, patterned tiling and contemporary furniture make it the perfect spot to soak up the sun and relax.

We are studying the possibility of installing solar panels on the roof of the hotel, to produce and use renewable energy.
